itsme emulator?

We have mentioned about an itsme emulator quite a few times on this blog, which is now under development and would be available very soon on our website. What do we mean by an emulator? It is something that would help us start presenting the metaphor of stories and venues in an interactive way. In other words, we want you to start playing with venues months before itsme is in the market, and we want you to do it in a context you know well: the Web. The relationship between itsme and the Web is something on which we can spend hours talking (and maybe writing), but the role of the emulator with respect to this discussion should not be mistaken. The emulator is not being developed to be a part of the itsme system, or an alternative, Web-based interface to Guglielmo: it is something independent, and with a limited scope.

Within the emulator you will have the possibility to have a glance at how venues will possibly look like in itsme, and be able to perform (emulate) some basic interactions, producing and manipulating real contents. You will also have the possibility to create documents (write blog posts), manage your contacts and write emails (private messages to other members of our community), browse media (pictures and videos) and… maybe some other surprises ;)

This is a screenshot of the current state of the emulator: we actually plan to release it publicly in the second half of May, so it is in a very early stage and what you see is not an exact representation of what will be expose at the end.
