Walking through some latest online news, it seems that big companies are starting to think about monetizing their own software through ads. Indeed, this is probably a new frontier inherited by huge online advertising incomes we’ve seen in the past.
Giving away software for free is always very appealing for end users and could be a real launchpad for the business around it, like making revenues through ads, though. But I wonder, what’s better? A “one-shot” income or small “time-distributed” ones? And moreover, in what cases the latter could outperform the former?
