Towards the end of this month(tentative date: 24th May), we will be rolling out the itsme prototype(Alpha version). This means that everyone will be able to download the itsme prototype(with a bootable ISO) and use it to create venues, organize their stories and interact with in them.
The plan is to go for a complete open release allowing the public to develop its features through extensions. At the moment we are alpha-testing the prototype and more details about the open release will be provided soon on this blog, so stay tuned.... Kindly direct all press enquiries to press@itsme.it. Giorgio will give a speech at the "Karaoke or innovation", the talk show organized by Class-CNBC in collaboration with University of Milano-Bicocca. It addresses issues of 'innovation, the talent and the' youth entrepreneurship. Other speakers at the event are innovation experts, graduate entrepreneurs and potential investors.
Closing speech is by Professor Jonas Ridderstråle, the most influential thinker and author of numerous works including " Karaoke Capitalism ", which will provide its provocative vision of the future.

What a year it's been for us at itsme together with about thousands of supporters and followers. Its always fun to look back down memory lane, so, I thought I’d give you a little perspective on some of the milestones we’ve crossed in the past year and some key highlights:

Our prototype is nearing completion(April) and we want to gear up to spread the word about the new itsme workstation so that our prototype can be tried and tested not only by the exisiting community but many many more. Hi everyone! I'm David, a student of Theory and Technology of Communication at University of Milano-Bicocca and I'm starting my student internship in ITSME as "advertising & communication adept". During my apprenticeship I will analyze the community aspects and key factors to develop alternative communication/marketing strategies, both offline and online, to enlarge the ITSME community and to growth its brand awareness. For every candidate strategy I will speak with the community, to search for collaboration or feedback (this is very very important) about it. The Itsme expedition has just come back from Bruxelles, where I and three other developers from the Tech team had a great time at FOSDEM 2010.
After a friday evening spent sightseeing that wonderful city, on saturday morning we reached the ULB Campus and joined the party with hundred of techies.
