Itsme and Guerrilla Marketing
Our prototype is nearing completion(April) and we want to gear up to spread the word about the new itsme workstation so that our prototype can be tried and tested not only by the exisiting community but many many more. David, new itsme intern
Hi everyone! I'm David, a student of Theory and Technology of Communication at University of Milano-Bicocca and I'm starting my student internship in ITSME as "advertising & communication adept". During my apprenticeship I will analyze the community aspects and key factors to develop alternative communication/marketing strategies, both offline and online, to enlarge the ITSME community and to growth its brand awareness. For every candidate strategy I will speak with the community, to search for collaboration or feedback (this is very very important) about it. WHY USE A WORKSTATION AND A MOBILE PHONE SEPERATELY ? Anti Oulasvirta published (in 2008) an interesting paper describing how people "do the Ubicomp" by juggling with many different devices at the same time, using the most appropriate device for each task. On the other hand, what we experience every day is that communication is often triggered by some messages we receive via email or instant messaging tools. Is it possible to integrate these applications with mobile phone technology seamlessly? In other words, think about a scenario like this: You receive an email message saying '[...] please call me on my mobile...
