The Interaction Design team is not the only one going through a process of assessment and refinement of the choices made so far: the tech team is also working on an extensive redesign of the frontend for the itsme prototype.
The prototype has always been a tool to validate technical choices, with the nice side effect of putting into practice the ideas coming from the ID team. While being the right thing to do at the time, this meant that... well, let's face it: the prototype was pretty ugly ;)
In the last months we carried on a redesign effort, which went...
ITSME SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT
In the last couple of weeks the tech team met several times to discuss the software development status, which is one of the reasons why we weren’t very active on the blog. However, here is a quick update...
We are currently busy on two sides.
On one side, we are trying to make our very first Guglielmo implementation a reality, we call it release 0.1 which will be a first assembly of several building blocks as highlighted over here. The goals of this first early release are twofold: having some working path to exercise our new metaphor with real running...
ITSME INTERFACE DEVELOPMENT
Thanks to the work that the Interaction Design Team has started in the last three weeks on refining the interface qualities of the venue, including graphical and behavioral aspects, (you can find the related post here), the ID team presented the first outputs during the last iterative session with Software Development Team: the first release of itsme GUI package.
The work focused at first on the refinement of the venue graphic user interface, as the core element of the itsme concept and then converged in the consolidation of dimensions and skinning of each graphic item.
In the meeting with...
Over the past few months we have defined the ID Model, released explorations of Interaction Paradigms and Preliminary GUI, to achieve a detailed design of itsme visual interface. But until we understand how people perceive them, we’re not going to make good use of the work we have done until now.
We need to know how do you perceive itsme functionalities, what values do you attribute to itsme features, how well, you think, we have been able to interpret the concept “stories and venues”, and further investigate to identify and understand user needs. Only then can we begin to make informed...
