ITSME INTERFACE DEVELOPMENT
To keep the balance among items and spaces and interactions, to allow a fluid interaction the design of each single element has always to be reconsidered with respect to the whole.
Following this dirrection, the Interaction Design team is starting in these days, a round of refinement and check on consistency over the different interface design choices made so far, with a more conscious perception of the overall OS and a first round of assessment.
The investigation started - obviously for us, from the core of the metaphor: the venue itself, its layout, the organization and access to its contents....
I state in advance that you're doing a good work. So be patient if I am too boring ^_^
I want to make a remark on buttons that manage a single window: messages, posts, media, etc.
The behaviour is clear, user clicks one time for single view, two times for multiple-view. With the unselected mode, there are three different statuses pointed out by radio buttons.
When multiple-view is selected, at the moment all radio buttons are switched off. I suggest to turn all radio buttons on for this kind of configuration.
p.s. this post is also a test for...
VENUE IDENTITY AND BEHAVIOR
In the last week the Interaction Design Team has started refining the interface qualities of the venue, including graphical and behavioral aspects, in order to support both web emulator and first prototype development.
(to get a quick recap on Venue and related design activity visit the "interaction design highlights" section on project page)
Main topics addressed by the initial experiments range from the behavior of single elements of a venue such as tabs, buttons, columns status and cinematic etc. to the relations between different venues and between the venues and the overall visual interaction environment.
Visual triggers, appropriateness of visual ...
By "virtual" venue for each person, I don't mean creating a venue for each person. What I mean is to permit the user to view all the stuff related to any of his contacts, and in the simplest way possible. It doesn’t matter If this simple way could be a "virtual" venue or some other method.... the important thing is to provide a method so that the user can immediately know what’s going on with that contact person. "
We can use the simple rule which we are already using to check relations between various items in the system ("Using stories...
